Welsh Record
It was top honours for Neath Port Talbot College athletes who competed in the County Athletics Championships with the Men's team being named Afan Nedd Champions and the Women's team coming second.
Dafydd Howells equalled the Welsh Senior Boys record for 100m (11.1 secs) in the Athletics Championships. Dafydd, a sports scholarship student, was presented with the Rugby Player of the Year Award this year at the sports presentation evening. He has been an exemplary student, volunteering to assist in a variety of activities from Open Day events to the Neath Port Talbot Torch Relay. He is currently studying Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport in Llandarcy.
The College Athletics team had an excellent team spirit this year; as a result, the following students have been selected for the County Athletics Team which will compete in the Welsh Schools' Athletics Championships in Brecon on the 7th of July.
