Vocational Pre-Vocational Studies
Vocational Sampling
Students are provided with the opportunities to sample a range of vocational subjects across the College including construction trades, horticulture, business administration, catering, care, art and media. Students will aim to develop adult basic skills, literacy and numeracy along with wider key skills.
Entry Requirements
+ Students need to be able to work towards Entry Level 3 at vocational level
+ All students are requested to have a desire for learning and employment.
Career Prospects
At the end of the course, learners will have the opportunity to progress to Vocational Preparation or Level 1 provision across the College.

How to Apply
Full-Time Courses
It could not be easier to join NPTC. Follow the steps below and should you have any queries about the application process, please contact Admissions.
1. Selecting Your Course
Look carefully through the academic or vocational courses you are interested in, use the search box at the top left-hand corner of the screen to find out more about a particular course. If you are undecided, discuss with course lecturers at our open/information evenings or open days to help make your decision. For times/dates, of our course-related events visit our Key Dates section.
2. Application Form
Once you have selected your course(s), apply online via the online Application Form. Click here to Apply Online... or download one from the link below and return it to Admissions at the campus of your choice.
(Please note: this is not an enrolment form.)
3. Interview
After your application form has been processed, you will be invited to attend an interview, either at school or at College. During this interview you will be able to discuss your choice of course further, as well as, the entry requirements and the career prospects leading from that course.
4. Confirmation Letter
Following the interview, you will be sent a letter confirming the offer - either a firm or conditional acceptance, depending on whether or not you have been asked to achieve certain examination grades. You will need to return the acceptance slip to Admissions, which will arrive with the confirmation letter.
5. Information Pack
You will receive an information pack containing additional details about student life at Neath Port Talbot College and giving enrolment and term dates.
6. Examination Results
If you have not achieved your desired examination results, don’t worry, staff will be available at both campuses during enrolment to give advice and guidance about possible changes to your original course. If you have achieved the necessary grades, but would like to change your original course choice, you can also do this during enrolment.
