Important Notice on Attendance Academic Year 2012
It is expected that all learners attend all sessions
From the 3rd of September 2012, should a learner be absent from a class/sessions/day, they should follow the following procedure:
- On your return to College, complete a Leave of Absence or Self-Certification form. This can be obtained from your Personal Tutor/Course Co-ordinator at your tutorial session.
- You are allowed one leave of absence and one period of sickness per half-term without affecting your EMA/LSF/ALG, subject to completing the forms with your Personal Tutor/Co-ordinator.
- If your period of absence is likely be more than five College days, you will need to contact your Personal Tutor/Co-ordinator so that your EMA/LSF/ALG is not affected. You will need to provide a Doctor’s certificate on your return.
Poor attendance will seriously hinder your progress and jeopardise your qualification. Continued absence will result in a referral or possibly disciplinary action.
